Great Britain, 2 shillings (also called a "florin"), 1949. Not silver, quite well worn. CV 20¢ in Fine.

Became 10p in 1971 which is worth about 20 cents US now. The shilling became 5p as well, the only two coins which came through decimalisation in this period, you could still see them up until the early 1990s when they reduced the size of the 5p and 10p coins.

G'day, the florin was introduced in 1849, apparently as a step toward decimalization ("one tenth of a pound") ... and it succeeded in a little over 120 years.
