My dad got this from a general in iraqi...very large and heavy. I put a quarter next to it so you can tell its size. No one seems to know anything about it !!

Do you know what type medal its made of? Are these of any value at all ?

Probably bronze or some brass alloy.

Medals like these usually don't go for much, simply because there isn't much demand. I don't know anything in particular about this one though.
