RogerRamjet Valued Member United States 172 Posts	Posted 07/02/2015 11:13 pm The "R-4" on the token's container refers to the Fuld rarity scale for this combination of obverse and reverse. The Wikipedia page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civil_War_token describes that scale. R-4 means that between 200 and 500 are known to exist. You have what I would describe as a medium rarity Civil War token in a medium quality grade. It's certainly collectable but the low supply of such tokens is balanced by relatively low demand. Most serious collectors of CWTs will be looking for higher grades. I'm sure you can find a buyer but don't expect it to go for anything close to the $600 fetched for the one that was still shiny.
