Greetings All and Happy New Year! There is quite a large coin auction coming up on Saturday. I'm wondering if I should go and try to obtain some coins. There are thousands of coins there, I would post the list, But, I think that it would take up the entire page. I could insert the link, But, the last time I did that the Admins removed it. What I'm really wondering is, Since the coins are in books and are not professionally graded, what are the odds that they have been searched for errors? Does anyone think that it's worth checking out? Okay, this is a link of the "list" of coins being auctioned. (I hope that I don't get in trouble for this) I returned the link ,If you have any questions about forum policy ,,please see the rules posted Here http://www.coincommunity.com/forum/rules.asp for your convienence,or your welcome to email or ask through the notes to staff feature Metalmanhttp://www.cashauction.com/auction/...NAUCTION.asp What do you all think?

I removed the link to the auction for discussion by the staff .
are you associated with this auction in anyway ?
Im pretty sure that the reason it was removed was due to forum policy regarding posting external links by new members .
I was not the Mod that removed it the first time so I need to find out for sure the reason for its removal.
Thanks for your patients .

Is this an online auction or in person. There's always a chance in finding errors, people cherrypick items from coin dealers and sellers on ebay all the time. The chances of you actually finding an error that is worth a lot of money would be slim since most of those were probably found.

I have no affiliation with the auction at all, this is the firrst time that I have been to one, it's an "in person" auction. The only reason that I posted the link is because it had a list of all the available coins. I will be going through the list tonight and check the Cherry Pickers Guide to see what I should be searching for. I was just looking for an opinion from the formum members on the matter.

There are just to many coins there to go through all the possibilities ,, I can tell you I would be looking at the early ,55,56 US Proofsets,, and a bunch of the others .
Im just glad I will be no where near it ,, I would spend way too much .

Thank You, Metalman. I am limiting myself on the cash that I bring as well, I don't need to be in the doghouse this early in the year!

madz....when it comes to auctions, how much you spend is up to you. Would you bid more than $50 for that set of 10 Indian cents and that 1975 P Lincoln Cent?
