A coin from the 100 days period of Napoleon's return to power. A hard coin to find. An interesting piece of history.

Very nice.

That is the only one I am missing from my Napoleon set of 5 Francs (of course mine are all forgeries).

I am NOT implying this one is a forgery.

A very interesting coin, and as you say, quite historical.
What exactly distinguishes this Limoges issue as a '100 days' issue. Is it just the date 1815?

Really a rare coin to find. I share my coin with you all. This year is the 200th Anniversary of Battle of Waterloo.

My coin: Bayonne Mint (L), 24.79 grams, 37.2mm

EFLargeCents's coin : Limoges Mint (I)

GERMANICVS, it's the date of 1815, prior to that Louis XVIII was in power.

Nice coin wonghinghi! I didn't even consider that it was the 200th anniversary of Waterloo. All the more interesting to have a coin from that specific era.

The only one of the 100 jours coins I have is this shabby 2F

1815-5-Francs

Unlike the 5F, this bust makes Napoleon look old and jowly.

Unfortunately, I do not have any 100-Days coins in collection, but am very much interested in the Napoleonic era and coins issued in the period.
These are quarter francs issued in An 12 of the french Republican calendar (corresponding to the years 1803 and 1804).

very nice GERMANICVS! I don't have that denomination. I have a 3 Cent Italian States coin from Napoleons reign though. I too find the time period fascinating, but don't have much of a collection at this point.
