Found this guy in a roll today and need some help. It looks quite similar to coppercoins 003 or 005. I can't find any markers though. Any ideas? PMD?

I think there are a number of unlisted date DDO varieties. This one has the usual bulging 8 but the thickness on the 4 is nice! Thicker than most.

Hi John - the right side of the bottom loop of the 8 bulges. It looks like it's flattened by a hit but similar to other DDOs for the date and similar. The vertical bar is also thicker on the 4 and maybe a bit of notching on the horizontal bar? Looks rounded at the end with a slight angle.

I pass over these. Especially the bulging 8. Very common.

SSkid , compare the top loops of the 8 on both the CC coin anb the OP's coin. The CC coin showes a thickening to the right side of the loop and the OP'coin seems normal. I don't think it is 006 . The 8 may have taken a hit as it seems flat

The 84 might have received a bit of damage flattening out that area. Everything else look like normal size on the devices. This could be coin wrapper damage, vending machine damage or circulation damage. (I'm leaning towards the last one) When you look at all the examples on coppercoins, then you see that on some other devices are affected with hub doubling creating extra thickness. But on your coin I'm not see any of this happening. You could keep it safe for now. Maybe we are missing something?

I noticed the possible ear too. Being an 84 that's the first area I looked at but since chrono or John1 didn't speak of it, having the avatar, I'm guessing it's not
