Interesting piece, I'm not sure if it's a coin or a religious token. I see what looks like a date of 156? though. Hopefully some one will come along that recognizes it.

It looks like a picture of a crucifixion, so it could very well be a religious token like you say. The back could be a person hanging in/around :) a tree with someone dancing.

The date looks like 1360 or 1560 but I think it is a 1360. I haven't seen any coins like this however a religious token seems appropriate.

i thought 1560 on the left but could be 1360 now that you mention it.

is it big? could it be a medal?

I can't find anything specific to this token/medal (I don't think it's a coin), but apparently the symbolic uniting of the crucifixion scene with the Fall (serpent-entwined tree of knowledge with Eve plucking fruit) has a history:

Obverse: The Cross, sometimes referred to in hymns as "the tree".
Reverse:
The tree of knowledge of good and evil (Gen.2:17).

This the essential feature which distinguishes Man from the animals.
DNA doesn't do that. I suspect that we may
be still related to the animals by evolution.

Nice complimetray way of referring to two trees, both on a coin - like object.

This is a religious token, not a coin.
