I've read through several posts and Googled quite a bit - so I'm pretty sure I've figured this out.

However, I just wanted to confirm -- this coin is definitely the result of someone grinding it? There is no way a mint machine could have done this?

No way it's not PMD. But I gotta say, that coin does look interesting in its own way. I'd keep it.

You can see the obvious signs of scratches, almost like it's been filed down and buffed.
