Thanks @ Atlas....I am missing the C & C Lincoln and Teddy Roosevelt. I looked a couple of weeks ago and could have picked them up on ebay for $75-$95 each however when I looked today they are now in the $150 range. Argggggggg So if you have any gaps you need to fill be advised The prices are rising fast on the secondary market.

Yes SA4H, thanks for the list. I bought the Lincoln one today. Now I'm only missing Teddy....so far in the series anyway. Hopefully I will be able to get the rest of them straight from the mint! I will be ready at noon this next time for sure.

No Nixon set? Could have had an image of a tape recorder on the medal.

The mint updated the product description. I believe that this squashes any ideas that the RPs will be released as a set later in the year as it even took out the "minted in Philadelphia" wording that was included with the Truman description:
"The 2015 Coin and Chronicles Set - Dwight D. Eisenhower features a Presidential $1 Reverse Proof Coin (only found in this set!) and an Eisenhower Presidential Silver medal"

No Nixon, No Ford.
Keep in mind the medals already exist in bronze, these are not new designs.

This is only because of the fervor of the RP sets.Give it a year or two and the non RP sets will fall. Maybe not all the way to where they were, but most of the way.

Oh Boy....I got the below email today. Let see how well the Mint's site will be able to handle the traffic flood on August 11. Quote: Make Money By Ordering from the Mint Order sets for $120.85 & we will pay you $250! We have selected our best customers to receive this special offer. On August 11th at 12:00pm ET, the US Mint will be selling a set called "The Coin and Chronicles Set - Dwight D. Eisenhower" for $57.95 each. There is a strict limit of two sets per household. The total amount that the Mint charges for the 2 sets is $120.85 ($115.9 for the sets plus $4.95 for postage).
We will pay you $250 to buy the sets and send them to us. It is important to place the order at 12:00 noon EST when the sets are put on sale as we want to be the first ones to get them because the Truman Coin and Chronical Sets sold out very quickly.
***IMPORTANT*** If you would like us to handle ordering the coins for you, we would be happy to place the order. Please call our sales team to provide your credit card and billing information so that we can enter the order. After the order is placed we will destroy the credit card information.
If you decide to place the order yourself, the sales team can give you details on how to order and how to send the sets to our offices. Unless otherwise instructed, payment will be via check. If you prefer PayPal (subject to fees) please let us know.
All shipping, billing, and payment questions can be answered via our sales team as well.

While they might be technically following the rules, their use of straw purchasers definitely kills the spirit of the fair and equitable distribution that the mint intends. They are profiteering at the expense of collectors. I'm curious to know who they are so that I can avoid doing business with them. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Profi...g_(business)

This is not their first time doing it, I recalled similar message from pass release (such as 2010 ATB 5oz). I am sure they are not the only one doing it either. At least they didn't have their ad up on cable TV...... Note: I don't endorse/agree with what they are doing. However, I do understand they are a business and they must make money.

Is it technically profiteering? Yes but is it to the level of say Enron? No. Is it illegal, no. Is this America, YES! This is a fair and free market. Everybody has their chance at noon equally. I personally will be trying for 10 sets to keep every one as a collector so am I being unethical? I want more than 2, not to flip but to give 5 to family (7yo brother, nieces & nephews) and keep 5 to go with my trumans. Would you consider that as being unethical?
