I've seen so many 2015D coins of all denominations from NGC in PL, even DPL, yet no 2015P's with that grade. How could that many dies for denver be that polished buy no philly dies? Aren't they all done in philly, then denver dies shipped out to them?

The P mint is usually the mint with the most errors and varieties. This leads me to believe that they don't care as much as the D mint. So maybe the D mint just takes more care in polishing the dies.

Does anybody have an idea at what exactly they are looking for to qualify as PL or DPL, and does the size of the coin have any effect on the distance they use to determine if its pl or dpl. If anybody knows the different methods they use and could let us know it would be appreciated.
