It appears to be a token of Irish origin (as indicated by the harp design).

I couldn't elaborate further as it's not my area of expertise.

Yes, it's a Lower Canada, Bust and Harp, halfpenny token.
Most of these that exist are contemporary counterfeits.
I'm not an expert and can't say if yours is one of the originals struck in Ireland, or one of the imitations.
Hopefully an expert will chime in.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

I do not think it is fake. Why would somebody make a well worn replica of a coin the is not rare to find.

CONTEMPORARY counterfeit means they were made about the same time as the original, they were not struck in well worn condition, they circulated widely and earned their often worn condition honestly.

It's a lower canada half penny token
many of these tokens such as the tiffin
and other such tokens were counterfieted back then because of a lack of coinage.
