HI, I'd like to start a general discussion and see how far this circles around.

Feel free to add your own subject.

To discuss popular thoughts about any certain coins major topic and what surrounds the mystery and image
in any certain variety.

I'd like to open the first topic about the 1958 LMC doubled die OBV variety.

The fact surrounding it that only 1 or 2 have ever been found. And experts say probably another one will not be found. And why is this so?

As far as I understand, its due to something that the DDO was discovered quite early and only 1 or 2 survived.

I know pics bad. Where taken awhile ago and need to redo new ones. But feel I need to have them check.

They seem interesting @ the least. I happened to have these 2 from my original LMC books I had since the 60's I did with my father.

Rest in Peace

Just to let you know, the 1958 cents were LWC's or linoln wheat cents, not LMC's, or Lincoln Memorial Cents.

There are rolls, boxes, and bags of uncirculated 1958 Lincoln cents hoarded away on dealer shelves and old musty closets. That is the best place to find the elusive 1958 doubled die cent!
