As seen today on ebay. Perhaps it's just me, but there's something rather odd about this coin, particularly the obverse. Does anybody else spot the problem areas?

Hmm...well, something is off about the date. It looks far too rough and "mashed down" in comparison to the rest of the coin. Then, check out the ribbon and diamonds. The diamonds are a little too small and off-center on the ribbon, and resemble a forgery I've seen. (Still, I could be wrong here) I'm not sure why anybody would forge a 1898, but then again each "MS-grade" forgery might be sold for $50.
