atscaper Valued Member Canada 89 Posts	Posted 07/11/2015 4:04 pm Out wandering the countryside today and found a couple coins at a little antique shop. I know how often these are counterfeited but swung a good deal and bought it along with an 1840 (I'll make another thread for it). Your opinions on authenticity are appreciated. Weight is 26.25g and not magnetic. Obverse and reverse are same direction. Thanks Pics are from my cell, if better pictures are needed I can take them with a real camera. It is genuine (given time the date can be read by matching font). I believe the obverse is double struck while the reverse is a single strike. Report this Post to the Staff
