Out wandering the countryside today and found a couple coins at a little antique shop. I know how often these are counterfeited but swung a good deal and bought it along with an 1840 (I'll make another thread for it).
Your opinions on authenticity are appreciated. Weight is 26.25g and not magnetic. Obverse and reverse are same direction. Thanks
Pics are from my cell, if better pictures are needed I can take them with a real camera.

I for one think you made an excellent buy if this coin was under $100. It is genuine (given time the date can be read by matching font). I believe the obverse is double struck while the reverse is a single strike.

Thanks for the reply and thoughts on it. This coin and the other I posted cost me $60CAD for both. I thought I was making a good buy especially if they both turned out to be authentic.

At that price I am a bit suspicious - those are low prices. Did you check specific gravity to see if they are silver?
