This is the second of 2 coins I picked up today at a country antique shop. Knowing the probability of counterfeits (which highly factored in my purchase price) I'm looking for some opinions. The coin weighs 27.03g and the obverse and reverse are opposite and is not magnetic. The pictures are with my cell phone and I can take some better pictures with a real camera if needed. Thanks for having a look.
PS The other coin is a 1802 8R, it's got it's own thread.

Excellent, thanks. Maybe I'll have to find my way back to that shop. They had two other 8R that I didn't buy as it was cash only and didn't have much on me. Forgot the years but they were the same type as this one. The ask is $30 each

I for one would like to see larger, higher resolution pics, but offhand there's nothing that sets off alarms for me, either. It's hard to make out the mint mark, kind of looks like a Go (Guanajuato). I presume those prices are in $Can? If so, picking them up is a no-brainer.

If the coins were first republic like this one - I would buy them all day long at $30 each.

Indeed, the $30 are well worth a coin like this.

I'm away for a few days but when I get back I'll put up some hi res pictures of it. The wife also reminded me that of the two others I didn't buy one was holed. :(

Holed 8R coins are not always bad news. Many early counterfeit coins were cancelled by drilling holes in them and at times counterfeits are in fact worth a substantial amount.
