You liked it enough to buy it so it is a great coin. I know this is counter intuitive but condition is not always the most important thing. Sometimes the ability to get older coins at affordable prices is all a collector needs. The joy and fun of collecting is far more precious than monetary value to a true collector. Arkie Pillar of the Community United States 2637 Posts	Posted 07/15/2015 11:23 pm I am happy with the purchase. This is better condition than I usually see for Edward VII halfpennies in the junkbox. As I was reviewing my purchases, I went to NGC and hit the first option under 1902 halfpenny. Often when there are 2 choices for a single date, there is the business strike and the proof strike. Well, the first listed was the low tide. I thought that price applied to all 1902 halfpennies. When I got home, I went to coins of the UK and saw the distinction, and realized my mistake.
