I received an email and read a small article on the mint having a new APP for smart phones and Androids which can be acquired via Google Play. They list all of the functions of this APP, but I did not see where you can make purchases from this APP. I would assume you can, but there is no mention. Does anyone have any information on the APP and do you know if purchases can be made via this APP?

I hope EVERYONE tries to use this on August 11th! Then I can sneak in using a PC and snag my two Ike C&C sets!

I would rather make any important purchases on the PC too rather than on my smartphone, since you never know if service will fail or the app will need an update.
Though I really enjoy the Mint's History tab that highlights a historical moment in U.S. coinage history on the day's date. Today's is Samuel Moore's appointment to be the fifth Mint Director by President James Madison.

Um, yay, another app to clutter my phone. I now officially need an app to index my apps. I've installed this thing but have no plans to use it in the immediate future for ordering. Maybe after the Ike set.  |

Every time someone like this releases a new app, not only do I not install it, I seek out the most unused app on my phone and remove it.  Who got the axe yesterday? |

I have an iPhone, but only use about 8 to 10 apps on a regular basis. Others just go to the back of the menu or in the extra tabs.
This app gets a place of honor on the front menu, 99% due to it's historical event of the day feature.
