Flowing Hair halves. Lots of early history behind them.

I'm a big fan of all yearly, flowing hair coins. The designs seem less rigid, and more free form. Plus I'd love to own something from the America's infancy. The flowing hair seems to represent freedom, the hair blowing in the wind kind of thing. At least that's what I take from it. They just seem to speak to me.

I think the reverse of the IKES is one of the most interesting ever made for a circulating coin. And it's big!

I love any half eagles, but the Liberty Head is my favorite, in case you can't tell from what you see to the left here. Jan

I don't fool with any of the older stuff,I'd say Mercury dimes and Lincoln cents are my favorites.

3 cent pieces, preferably nickel, but I love those tiny silvers too! Oh ya, Mercury dimes are a close third.

My favorite coin is a 1943 Lincoln Cent. Not for beauty, looks, etc. It is my favorite for sentimental reasons. Way, way, way back when they first came out my Dad started giving me some and that is why I started coin collecting. Now when I see them I think of my Dad. Great coin, Great DAD.
