Hi:

I've been collecting coins since the 1950's. I became interested when I discovered a can filled with large pennies that my dad put away. I really became involved after I started a paper route. One 90 year old man paid every week in pennies, most of which were in the 20, 30 and 40's. I was able to find a complete set of pennies which included a 1922 with some original luster and a 1955 nsf penny. I also was able to collect a full set of nickels except for the far 6. When the kids came along my collecting days came to an end for 25 or so years. The demise of the cent rekindled my interest. I hauled out my old penny set which more or less ended in 1980 and managed to complete it to the end of 2012. I found a 2006 no logo no p magnetic before I found the 2006 p. I also purchased some non circulating pennies from sets. I now have the majority of pennies and 5 cents from 1858 to date except for the 1921 5 cent. My dime collection is complete except for the really good ones (1872, 1875, 1884 and 1889). My silver dollar collection is complete except for the 47 dot but the pricey ones are only vf - ef. My quarters and 50 cent pieces are pretty much complete after 1910 and pretty sparse before that. I must say that the internet has made it possible for me to part with much of my hard earned cash and is keeping me busy looking for bargains.
