Search it. Look for varieties and errors, keep the gems, dump the rest.

I was lucky and got a couple of boxes from my bank in 2009. I kept one box unopened with all H/T rolls. I opened the rest and kept any higher grades and varieties.A lot of people hoarded these so the future value will be John1

If you don't mind me asking where did you score the box? Something from the bank or a purchase? IMO I'd keep them sealed and tuck away for the future!

Quote: I'd keep them sealed and tuck away for the future! Unfortunately, you and tens of thousands of other collectors and fringe collectors. How much would a 1909s VDB be worth if thousands and thousands of people started pulling out granddad's boxes and rolls of hoarded cents.

There are some good varieties, like the doubled hand, so I'd do some research and take a look!
