I am very disappointed with the mints Coin exchange event which was held at Bay and King today. The mint was exchanging Canada Flag quarters for an even swap of money. The most you could exchange was $1 worth of quarters. Two painted and two non painted quarters. Numerous emails sent out by the mint stating, "Its a coin exchange you don't want to miss" and they only exchange" One Dollar" worth of quarters. Shame!!   |

Even didn't get a mail
Looks like people at the Mint predicted very well that specifically these quarters will be rare or something....sold out at the dealers, selling for CDN 6.50-7.50 for pack (except CC&C - 3.50)

12.5 million is not rare. If it's something it's the standard........exact same mintage as well for 25c 2011 Canadian Conservation successes (excluding Orca) 2012/2013 Heroes of 1812, 2013 Artic/North. All very common.  Edited by wildflowerAB

cool! I didn't even know they were coming to Halifax this week-end! if I have a minute, I will definitely drop by! I always thought there wasn't much coin related stuff in N.S.

The Halifax Regional Coin Club meets once a month (or at least they did when I lived there) and there are members that come in from Sackville. |

I think ever person who comes in contact with these quarters will set them aside. If this is true how collectible will they be?

For some strange reason I was able to order a second set of the 5 packs with the first one being in transit. A friend of mine who also has MC status could not place another order.
I was also one of the hundreds of people that lined up to have Bonnie Ross autograph the coin boards. Took home a total of 6, at least two or three of which will be offered as door prizes to local area clubs.

I too lined up to have my coin booklets signed. Yesterday I just received one of the coloured ones in change.
