Was in an antique store today and ran across a spiratone bellowscope with a 150mm macro lenses in pretty much perfect shape. I believe these were manufactured in the late 60s early 70s. Anyway does anyone know how I could mount this bellows to a Nikon D90 and taking it further what adapters would I need to hook up either cannon or nikkor lenses. I feel like I'm jumping around all over the place with photography equipment but I picked this up with the lense for 22 bucks....couldn't pass it up. Advice from the people that know a whole lot more than me please :).

The Bellowscope was usually sold in T-mount. You would need a T-mount adapter for Nikon F mount to T-mount lens to mount the D90. On the lens side, it's a bit tougher to find adapters but they do exist for Nikon lenses. I am not sure about Canon EOS but I expect that will be very tough to find. Canon FD mount exist. But why would you want to put a Canon or Nikon lens on bellows? By the way, the Bellowscope is a decent bellows. I have a couple of them around. I also have the 150mm lens (called "MacroTel" IIRC) but have never used it as it's so long and requires a long bellows and long working distance.

Ordered a tmount. This is where I need a lot of help. Kind of piecemeal job here. I mainly bought the bellows for coin photography the lense was a bonus. Would that bellows work and what else do I need. My wife has a 50mm fixed cannon lense. Also have a couple 75mm nikkor lenses on watch. I think I've read so much on this forum I've gotten myself confused with what all I need haha.....information overload ....any other help would be greatly appreciated

All you need is a 80mm enlarging lens (75mm may be too short) and a M39-M42x0.75 adapter. My preference for 80mm is the Rodagon. The f5.6 is good, and the f4 is a little better. A Nikon 80mm EL-Nikkor will also work and is a bit cheaper. If you're adventurous this might be of interest: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rodenstock-...em5d5a97417cOtherwise I'd look for either 80/5.6 or 80/4 Rodagon, or 80/5.6 EL-Nikkor but you should not pay over $100 for them. The adapter is actually harder to find than the lens. Several folks sell M42-M39 adapters, but they don't say if they are M42x1 (Pentax mount) or M42x0.75 (T-Mount). Sometimes they make the threads so they fit on either. Here is an adapter but I am not sure if it will fit... http://www.ebay.com/itm/42mm-39mm-M...em3375bd0ec3

Ok so let me see if I have this correct. D90 body, mount bellows with t-bar adapter then M42-39 adapter to end of bellows then Rodagon lense?

Whoah! Snag that lens before someone else does. Excellent price on an excellent lens.
If the adapter is what is shown in the pics, the seller is incorrect about the 0.75 thread. The pics show a standard "helicoil" adapter, which is 1mm pitch for both threads. Note that it will "work" to a point. It will thread in a couple threads, and then get tight. I've used them this way many times. In fact, if you thread it on fairly hard, you probably can just use it forever that way!

Bought the lens :) thanks for your advice and expertise....on the adapter, I've stripped enough screws and bolts working on cars and projects around the house....if need be, I'll torque it down haha....maybe I'll get lucky and that's just a stock image

that's the problem....I don't have any threads on the camera end of the bellows....so I'm guessing I need an adapter of some sort but not sure what that one would be called

Oh no! It may be that the rotating camera mount is missing from your BellowScope. There should be a thumb screw and a couple of set screws that hold the rotating mount in place. Send a pic of the end of the bellows so we can see what's missing.

Sorry, but a piece is missing. It is held in place by the set screw, which allows you to rotate it to set the camera rotation. It has the T-mount threads that your F-mount adapter would thread onto.
