Anyone seen anything like this? These are all the images I have to go on ... not mine, but a friend's.

Very strange medallion. On the bottom picture--is that writing? A clearer picture would help determine if it's an actual language, or just scribbles and symbols.

I'm leaning toward the latter, which of course will make this difficult or impossible to identify. How long has your friend had it, and where did they get it?

The appear to be strictly symbols, as in this pic

Strange-Medallion

Origin is unknown, it was given to them anonymously. I'm thinking it's modern, perhaps some sort of magic-like game? That's just a guess though.

It appears to be a personal medallion spirit piece. The design mimics the coarse evil spirit catchers or warnings to stay away from an area. From the second pic the writing appears to be the type of mystic/magic runes used in the occult sciences. Depending on the belief system that the person has it, can be very real to something sold as a game piece, or movie type souvenir. Like for that fake witches movie out a couple years ago that was a big hit. The name escapes me currently, or as said one of the countless card, board games.

Yes that was the one, and they had them hanging in the woods on a Bones episode about the witch beheading people. And one of them quasi monster hunting TV show down in the swamps of La. they called them by some strange name.

That is what a charm bag is called I think these had another name. Between the cheesy sound effects and the accents of the "the real people" they sounded as bad as any B actor trying to do the accent! It was had to make out what they were saying.
