OP's coin is LDS or into VLDS. A couple of peripheral reverse die cracks on the left and also one running over most of MERIC. The lowest leaf that touches the "D" mint mark has all but been polished away. That will have an effect on date-related variety die markers.

I won't make a call on the overdate from the pictures, would need to see it on 10x or better. Focus on the date. Look for a die chip (the overdate) in the upper and lower insides of the 2, a slight tab below the leftmost bottom edge of the 2, and under the base of the 4's leg.

But keep in mind that in 64+ condition a real 1942/1-D would bring mid to upper 4 figure prices (PCGS has a total pop of 10 in MS-65 or higher!) so if you got it raw and for cheap, I'd be suspicious.

Attractive light toning highlighting the surface flow. MS64 FB (center band is slightly weak at middle but it's a LDS+ coin and no hits on the bands so it would slab FB in my opinion.)
