I know it's a buffalo but the number on the neck I can't find anything similar anywhere. I'm certain it's a knockoff of some sort. Just curious. Report this Post to the Staff

Per the owner of the local coin store, he gets them off Silvertowne. I believe they have OPM, Ohio Precious Metals, mint them. That being said, the ones I have seen haven't said copy or had a serial number on them so maybe it is someone else. Notice that nowhere on it does it make any mention whatsoever of fineness nor weight. How big is it and how much does it weigh? I hate to say it, but I strongly suspect you may have some Reader's Digest junk... silver plated base metal sold under a layer of weasel words ("real silver", "historic") for $19.95.
