Let me first say, Want.

I would be curious to know what its' "field of view" is, in three dimensions. If it's surface-only, the thinnest of plating can deceive it. And can it penetrate metal like nickel?

Want, either way.
Rest in Peace

Shoppers, head over to kickstarter....

Unlike the portable XRF devices you might have seen about the place, this kind of device is purely surface-only - it works off reflected light, just like your eyes, so if you can see it, so can the device. If you can't see it, neither can it.

This is now on my wish list!

I'll wait for the next generation to improve the technology and reduce the price.
