Was just looking at my Washington junk silver pick-ups... Got these for 14-1 today...1937-d; 1938-s; 1939-s... Obviously grade isn't great, but low mintage and they were $3.50 each. Did I get a good deal or does grade totally kill the low montage finds?

I don't know about the grade part, but it's been tough to find junk silver the last few weeks at a good price. So I think you did well as far as snagging any at a good price...

Good pick up, but I think we still haven't sen the bottom. You might be able to get more low grade lower mintage silver. Just remember, it will still be decades before low grade lower mintage silver is worth a significant premium over melt. I would still have picked them up.

I should add, if I saw BU Washingtons, I would probably get those 1st, but I would have a tough time leaving those also. So I would end up spending more, not a bad thing is it?

That's insanely epic!

1939 S is definitely a decent date.

Third week in a row I've come up empty handed finding junk at the LCS :( and that would be at 14x if they had it in stock. Keep grabbing those finds!

The guy at my LCS wanted $1.50 per dime, $3.50-3.75? per quarter, and $9 per half when spot was $14.55-$14.60.

I bought $9 of dimes and, though I got a 1946-S album-filler, I still felt as if I overpaid ($1.50 for a then $1.05 dime).

Most, including my LCS charge 13x face usually.

1.50 for a dime isn't bad.

$9 for a half is pretty bad though, at 13x it'd be about $6.50
