Another pathetic altered date, you know the routine!

I was going through the '14D page making sure I didn't miss any obvious fakes, yet alone counterfeits in general. I know of every single 1914 D cent on ebay right now. This one slipped past me. Turns out it's been up for several days ago.

That "4" wasn't changed to a "1" very well. I can see the first "4" (well, both 4's) in this 1944-D cent pretty easily--best in the close up on the far right picture..

Yeah, I can see the remnants of the first 4 as well. *bleah*

The seller is apparently a pawn shop. Judging from his inventory, he probably doesn't realize it's fake and just put it up with a bunch of other stuff.

UPDATE: The seller took the listing down voluntarily. He was pretty nice about it, so it was probably unintentional.
