Found these at the flea market this morning. I thought they look pretty nice. Any comments ? $7.00 for the lot.

I think you did pretty good considering you only paid a dollar over face value, especially if you like them (which is what matters most)

Aren't the 1968's and 1969's 40% silver? I think this was a great deal.

Oh, just noticed the 1970 as well - really good deal, 40% and even harder to find in circulation.

I collect mostly Canadian ,but these stood out to me. Rookie on the American coins so any help identifying the collectible silver is appreciated. They are all in very good or better condition. Thank you.

Considering the 68D, both 69s, (worth 2.19 each for melt value) and the 70D are 40% silver, the 1970D was considered the key to the set for years (still sells for more than the 7.00 you paid by itself), I'd say you did VERY well!

You might also want to check for DDOs on the 71D, 72, and 73D. The 72D might be missing the FG designer initials on the REV.

The 70D alone would have been a great buy at 7 bucks. That purchase was a STEAL.

I would check the reeding on the two bicentennial halves as well. They look like they're probably clad but they issued these in 40% silver as well for collector sets. Unlikely, but then again the 1970 you have there was only issued in collector sets as well.

Great deal 4 of them are 40% silver and the 71's could be as well....also check for the FG on the obverse between the right leg and body. You will have an error if any is missing. You did well for sure.

I think we'd most jump right on that deal. I wonder if the seller didn't realize the 70d was silver. Nice buy!

Got to get lucky once in a while I guess! Most of my finds do not usually end up on the plus side of things! Keeps me trying though. Thanks all.
