Was Charles VI the first monarch of HRE or Hapsburg to have engraved edge letters/motto on his talers? I think so. Am I correct? Who know the answer? Thank you.

Yes, this is the motto of Charles VI, which appears on many of his thalers. This one was struck at the Vienna mint.
