There I found the third addition to my set of modern 'impaired' silver commemorative dollars ... 1986-S Statue of Liberty Centennial Dollar - PR55 (Cleaned) I could not resist for $16 ... The coin joins my 1991-D USO dollar (AU50) and 1995-P Special Olympics (PR50) which I have previously shared with this forum. To me ... it's just a special feeling to find one of these NCLT modern commemorative coins in impaired (worn) state. It astounds me that something so out of the ordinary would not be pulled from circulation long before it got to this point of wear. Of course, they might have been pocket pieces at one time, too.
