There are some trail lines present on the letters of EPU. Also seen are trails on the ED of UNITED, the NT of CENT and the E of ONE. There is another set of trails, in a different direction, on the N and E of ONE. This was validated by Bob Piazza who also has this die in a better grade and earlier die state. The offset direction is 060 and 260 degrees. This die was found by Joe Koelling of North Carolina and it is a major trail die. DESCRIPTION: Trail die with design extensions at an offset direction of 330 degrees. The strongest area of trails is towards the center of the die, with design extensions showing on the top of the columns and the scrolling of the cornice. Other areas affected are EPU and TES OF AMER. DIE MAKERS: Stage "B", obverse is MDS - die crack on Lincoln's nose. Reverse is MDS - die gouge between the R and I of AMERICA. Edited by coop 07/25/2015 10:48 pm Report this Post to the Staff
