It's obvious the story is fake here. There's a 2009 cent showing.

The first one's worth the (current) $2.75 I think. It's a gamble, but looks promising regarless. Something has to be legit. Can't see shipping costs though.

EDIT: Oops, didn't see the description. Now THAT's plain ugly.

The second one is just a joke.

The both of them are jokes. the one with the jar really cracks me up. that jar looks brand new. oh but wait ; his friend found it hidden in an old barn.

I wonder if his other auction is also bogus...

"Bought at an auction that usually has good coins but have been to busy to open it. Shows a Shield nickel on the end"

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Roll-of-nick...em3cff22c6cb

Either-He's-Full-Of-Himself-Or-Just-Plain-Desperate.

-->I don't believe the entire roll is " Shield nickels", but he does say it "shows a Shield nickel on the end"
and I bet the rest of the nickels are modern.
Although he is telling the truth, it is deception at it's finest...

The jar cracks me up!

He will let his friend pick just ONE coin unless it's over $50... I'm sure it will be a 2015 penny

Very easy to make money deceitfully on ebay. I have to believe there is a comeuppance at some point for these sellers. But they might not know where it comes from or why.

I like how his username is jrk2525 ----> JERK 2525.

This is just plain sad.

Gosh, only a little time left to get that bid over $50 so I can be sure and get a silver (dime!).

The scary thing is just how obvious this scam is and how often similar listings are seen. No subtlety at all.

My fear is that, even if returns are OK, if you're dumb enough to buy it in the first place, are you smart enough to know you've been duped when you open it?
