Have you guys ever heard of someone collecting poker chips?

Im not talking about common chips you buy at Wal-mart but Casino issued chips. My wife and I went to Vegas a couple years ago, and I kept a $1 chip from every casino we visited. I have several, dunno, maybe 8-10 and we plan on making another visit where I will do the same thing again.

Does anyone know if there is an interest in collections like these and do they carry any value?

If you Google "casino chip collecting" you'll find all sorts of references to people who collect chips and tokens.

I only keep chips and tokens from casinos I've actually been to, just as souvenirs.
