I was bidding on this group of Lincoln Cents on ebay, but didn't win. The seller wasn't a coin dealer, but a jeweler, as he had one of the 1909 coins listed as a 1909-D.

The 1911 looks like a nice coin but I've been fooled by artificial red coins before. I wasn't sure about the 1914-D. There is some red on the obverse, but Lincoln's bust looks a bit worn to still have some red.

The group sold for $213.

I'm interested in people's opinions on the coins. I couldn't be sure about them so I didn't pursue further bidding.

The photos are the seller's. There wasn't a photo showing the full reverses of all five coins.

Thanks.

Was the 1090-D a VDB?
I know there were no D mintmarks, just asking how he had it listed as there must have been a mintmark.

WOW! If a Lincoln Cent had that date, I'd buy it fast.

My keyboard messed it up.
I meant 1909-D

I can see now that they are both VDB cents.
If they are genuine, I'd say someone did very well.

The pictures suck but the 1911 looks like it has a chance of 63/64RD. Not a bad shot in the dark at $213.
