Some may debate whether this is really a "coin" since it isn't meant to be circulated, but it does have a face value and was produced by an actual government mint:

I don't collect foreign coins but some of those may make me start.

I like the designs or the stories you can get about the designs or times when the coins were made.

Take the 1950, 50 pfennig and the 2009 NA USD designs. both have women planting something, but what do those designs mean to the countries at the time or in any part of history that brought about that design.

Or just some designs you can imagine why they are there like the 1 and 5-cent I have from the Bahamas, a ocean that people go for represented by a starfish, and a pineapple, for all the drinks served on the beach at resorts. its like the coins themselves are advertising the country and its exports or entertainment value..like a tourist brochure. Compared to the State and ATB Quarters which just like oddities for the US designs. I wonder if any ATB Quarter has made anyone so far want to go to that national park yet? Everglades quarter doesn't really want to make me vacation or spend my money there like the Bahamas coins do.
