OK. I know very little about what I'm actually doing, but I'm loving it. I found a wheat-back among my change one day about a month ago, and that started it. I looked through all my change. Then I looked through the bucket (literally) of pennies, nickels and dimes. Then I looked through the jar of quarters.
THEN I decided to check out a box on my dresser into which I vaguely remembered tossing a few coins. I found a 1923 Peace silver dollar and an 1889 Morgan silver dollar, along with silver quarters and dimes dating back to 1934. I decided I'd save them all for my grandson, who won't get to even touch them until he's in his 20's... or else.
Anyway, I was getting my facts and figures all confuzzled when I decided to do what I do best -- create a spreadsheet.
The "hobby" has evolved, to say the least, and I'm just starting to learn that I don't know a darned thing.
So here I am. At your mercy. Be gentle...

It's really okay. By joining CCF you've bought yourself at least three clues... the more knowledge you share the more you learn.

to CCF. Well to me it sounds like you may be a candidate for looking for error coins or at least starting to get a few coin albums to store your found treasures. Do some reading and looking at coins you may want to collect. Ask plenty of questions cause there are many here who will be willing to help you. Best of luck in you, it is most rewarding if you get into it as a hobby.
Rest in Peace
