I won an ebay auction from Heritage the other day. I got my item just fine but now I keep getting emails from them. I even got one email of an "invoice" although I already paid through paypal when I won the ebay auction. When I try to log in to "change email preferences" it wants me to make an account. Are they known to spam their customers like this?

I don't consider it spam. Ray-ban sunglasses, that's spam!

If you can't adjust your account settings, just call or e-mail them and they'll work it out quickly. Great company, does a lot for the hobby.
Rest in Peace

As the Frog said - just give them a call. They'll take you off in an instant.

BUT - if you found one coin from them, it's likely they will have lots more you might like!

As you continually buy from them, they will send you offers to buy your coins, send helpful information and beautiful catalogs of upcoming Auction's.

I get one or two e-mails from Heritage a day. Same for a lot of other eCommerce sites where I have accounts. They want you to spend, spend, spend!
