Hi Everyone!

I've been lurking for awhile and now decided to create an account. I've been interested in coins ever since I was 21 a couple years ago. My grandpa had given me several different coins which I found fascinating. What really sparked my interest was some peace/morgan dollars. It was the size and the luster of those dollars that stuck out the most. One day, I hope to get a full set of them.

I collect literally anything. The variety of coins with the history of each coin/notes is always so interesting. When someone from my family/work went to other countries like China, Brazil, Jamaica , etc I always made sure to tell them I would buy any leftover coins/notes. It always got me a nice variety of coins/notes. I then found myself researching said coins/notes out of curiosity.

Thank you all for the warm welcomes!

Maybe I'll see some of you with CCF shirts in Chicago next week!

Oh, Lincoln, you're from Wisconsin? Do you by chance know of any good coin shops anywhere or coin shows/conventions in Wisconsin? I've been to Derzon's a couple times but didn't have the best experience.

Hi Norbenn. I am not very familiar with the Milwaukee area. I am near green bay. I have gone to the green bay and Appleton coon shows, they are both pretty good. (About 50 tables) so kinda small but everyone is nice. I also joined the Appleton coin club that meets twice a month. I plan on going to the ANA next week. Will be my first time

Well it seems someone in this thread decided to join our club and mailed in their application. Tonight we held a membership approval vote at tonight's meeting and when the application form was read since the "who referred you" field said Jack Jeckel I knew it had to be someone on the forum

Be sure to stop by in person for next months meeting as we will be having our annual Christmas party with tons a FREE Balistreri's pizza.

For $10 a year in membership dues the free door prizes every month, the free field trip to a historic site in the area, the free chartered bus ride to the ANA show or CSNS show in Chicago, the free pizza at the December meeting, and the free steak dinner for volunteering at the annual show make it a small financial sacrifice.

When I was a member as a YN back in the late 1980's those were some of the very few good memories I had and did not repress from my childhood and it wasn't until many years later I could place where and why I recalled them.

Though I must say that the title made me think you were from the Woman's Institute... WI has a different meaning in the UK...

The membership fee seems worth it for the pizza alone. I wish there was an opportunity to eat pizza and discuss coins around here ^^
