Nice to see another collector in my age group, welcome. Mine are tough to decide...my top ones would be an 1864 N.B. E/F cent( if you don't know it try a forum search for it) an 1881H cent with the DDO different font styles, a 1946 DDO & DDR dollar, a 1947 BL 7 dollar MS-64 with an unlisted 7/7, a sweet and fairly large hoard of toned dollars from an old collection at melt value, and likely many more....., all the ones listed were for less that trends and the N.B. E/F and the 1881H DDO were priced as regular Coins even though I notified the owner of the varieties.

Nice to see yet another collector in my age group (2000 is my birth year) I cherry picked a couple 1979 SBA varieties from the LCS, the Wide rim and Clear "S" varieties. Paid $2 for the wide rim and I think $5 for the proof.

24th, we are close. I have a friend in the hobby who is born a day after me, the 25th. The birth year is a little earlier than me though....1942 lol.
Apologies to the op though, I think I derailed their topic a little.

I feel my market success rate is considerably more noticable than from LCS:s, but here we go: https://goccf.com/t/236803 From the junk bucket comes an uncirculated error coin with die crack, clash and lamination, all-in-one. Price? 1 SEK = $0.11 Other than that I accidentally bought a key date (1888) 1 Krona coin for melt value. Worn, but still key date

Mine was a 1916-D Dime from the Junk bin at an Antique store that had a fairly large coin section. Previous thread: https://goccf.com/t/138316Coin is now in an ANACs AG-3 Holder and I'm in it a little over $40

A few years back I bought an 1899 black eagle star note for $100. It was in decent condition, no tears or cuts and no stains or pen marks. Just a nice note. Unfortunately I traded it for a large group of Indian head pennies from the 1860-1880s. So last year I bought an 1899 black eagle star on ebay to replace the one I wish I still had. And of course it was more than $100

My best find was at a coin show, VF 1926S Buffalo nickel for $6. PCGS has it around $200.

I went through a tub of Indian Head cents at a coin shop in NC and paid $1 per coin and filled an album minus 4 coins (1859, 1877,1908s,1909s). There was even a nice UNC and 1907 in there. There were duplicates of some tough dates like 1869 and 1871. Most were in the good range, a few had problems, but all in all it was a steal.
