1862-O Seated Liberty Dollar - Error?

Willem2904 New Member Norway 44 Posts	Posted 08/05/2015 6:14 pm I came across this coin on a website. According to the pictures and description, it should be an 1862-O silver Seated Liberty dollar. However, from what I have read, there were no Seated Liberty dollars minted in New Orleans (resulting in the O mintmark). Do you think this is an error from the seller, or can one really find 1862-O Seated Liberty dollars? I cannot find any info at PCGS nor NGC. Report this Post to the Staff

TypeCoin971793 Pillar of the Community United States 6370 Posts	Posted 08/05/2015 11:07 pm According to the Hobby Protction Act (at least the former version I purchased them under), it is only illegal to import unmarked counterfeits for resale as genuine articles.
