It's me again. This nickle has some break on the top right of the Monticello, making it look like an extra room. Would this be worth anything? Thank you for your help.

I want to add another coin to this forum. Also a 1964 D nickle with a double monticello building. I am new and have no idea the value of such a coin. Thanks for your input!

Looks like a die chip. More common on the current coins, but happened back then as well.

No added value to either one. The first looks like a die chip and the doubling on the second is called Machine Doubling aka MD.

Here is a lesson on machine damage on a coin. Note in the two images below:
1964-D-Nickle---Extra-Room-On-The-Monticello
Note the location of the doubling. On the image on the right, the affected edge is outside area next to the field that is affected. The image on the left shows hub doubling and note: the doubling is inside of the bust. (not on the outside edge) The spread is noted by a rounding of the bust, not flat/shelf like reducing the size of the device.

Now look at your coin. The MD is on the outside edge of the building, it is flat/shelf like reducing that device. Hope this helps.

Coop... Thank you for your knowledge and pictures to help me understand the difference. I have so much to learn. I have a box full of indexed error coins and I am going through them one by one. I am understanding as I go through them that the errors are slight, but nevertheless exciting to see. I noticed that he was citing Spadone. I researched Frank Spadone and found he was known as the leader to error coin collection. Other than that, he really isn't a good roll model to learn from - haha. Thank you again.

Clearly, the top one is the elusive 1-grimm-066 Rapunzel Variety.
