1862 Bronze Victorian Penny

Hi All,

I am brand new to the forums as I have just started up the hobby again after 20 years. I have a couple of 1862 Victorian pennies which both have some considerable differences. Not sure what I have as I can't seem to find any variants that match. Coin one has no hair between the ribbon and the back of her neck, Coin 2 has a very strong triangular section of hair with multiple strands. Coin 2 has what appears to be a standard date, Coin 1's date has a much larger gap between the 6 and 2. Can anyone help me with identification. I have added photo's. Thanks

I also noticed that on coin 1 there is an extra raised section from her head to the outer rim almost on the same angle as the "B" from BRITT. Maybe a die crack causing a ridge?

Many varieties exist I suggest Freeman,Gouby,Satin will be a good starter and also Collectors Coins GB will be a great source of info.
4 books for about £50/60 will be money well spent.
The best 1d boys are on Predecimal.com
Including Michael Freeman although he is taking a back seat nowdays.
You will find the best brains on UK coins.
