Had this coin sitting around for a couple years. When ANACS had the special for the 4th of July, this was one of the coin I choose to send in. Any opinion? I am thinking this might be the first coin I attempt to sell on ebay. 1854 Gold dollar     Edited by GR58

Very nice and properly graded. It's always good to see classic gold that hasn't had the scrubbing bubbles applied.

My first thought was MS62 or MS63 so I obviously really like it as a 55! That coin has exceptional luster/eye appeal/strike for a 55. Beautiful little piece you've got there.

i am surprised at the grade. At first glance I declared MS61/MS62 to myself. AU55 is under-grading the surfaces IMO and if anything, send it to CAC, add the green bean and raise the stakes on the premium it might bring in the market. I believe the surfaces are exceptional for AU55.

Decent AU-55. Like Connor said, try selling on CCF first, eBay/paypal fees will kill you.
