1907 Indian Head - Original? Recolored?

Paul Bulgerin Pillar of the Community United States 3098 Posts	Posted 08/09/2015 11:13 am I received this 1907 Indian Head. It's a flashy red with strong luster, especially on the obverse, but the reverse looks a little "off" - a bit dull - to me. I've been fooled with altered colored Indians before and am looking for people's opinions on this coin. Sorry the photos aren't better. I had to take them through the 2x2 holder in case I end up returning the coin. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Can you try some more shots with different lighting to see if it brings the luster and color out better? Right now with these photos I'd be at MS-63 details, once cleaned. I paid $45 for the coin and that's too much for my pocketbook for a coin that may have been cleaned, even if lightly cleaned.
