I just won an auction where I'm hoping the description of "full liberty" is accurate on the IHC in it. The picture is just unfocused enough to not be able to actually tell. If I had to guess by the picture I would say the seller is stretching the description. What do you think?

Hoping to be pleasantly surprised

That's the gamble you take sometimes. Liberty is a,fairly prominentart of the IHC design, so full liberty might just be taken as you can just see all the letters, which occurs starting with Fine grades. So if you get an F or VF, that would be pretty fair.

Honestly, what would a "Full Liberty" on this common date IHC mean in terms of the value of this lot?

@ Coinfrog: Covering 3/4 of what I paid on it's own. Or closer to 1/4. In other words, a good deal no matter what, but full liberty would make it sweeter ofc.
Rest in Peace

I really don't want to bust your bubble. but by the looks of the other coins in this lot, the IHC may or may not be full LIBERTY. or if it is, it may be a problem coin showing full LIBERTY./ .I hope I'm wrong.

We can all agree this is a bargain bin lot. But I only have $7 in it, so no way it won't be worth that. (AND the Jeffersons/quarter I'm considering face value ofc) The buffs alone make it worth it... Just hoping the IHC pans out to be better than the blurry blob in the picture(especially due to the full liberty claim).

Although I will say, at a 45 degree angle and no magnifier, it looks like most the outline is actually there...
