They were like hey we have a big rise in spot price today, lets start pre-selling them now while we can to make even more $. But yes this design looks rushed and not near as appealing or crisp as the first.

Meh... yeah not as great as the first. But now that I am started on them have to at least grab one lol but hey maybe with my top-open box sitting next to the other designs may not look that bad. I don't see them going very fast so I will wait to see if the price lowers a little bit.

Not a mermaid.. A Siren. Not as great as the others but cool. I'd like to judge the round in hand though seeing as how much cooler the last one was in person.

They are what they are, pirate rounds, you know a treasure chest of silver and gold coins. They were pirates not fine artisans. If the design was finely detailed and flawlessly struck, everyone would be complaining that they were too well minted to be called pirate silver. |

Well just found out the wife loves mermaids (even wanted to be one when she was a kid) so definitely getting one to keep the collection going. At least I know she likes the design though, which makes getting it a lot better :)

I do still like this design and will pick up a roll. I'll probably get a roll of each design just because pirates are awesome. I do think they could have done more with the mermaid design though. Oh well, I'm still happy with it.
