Check the reverse of those 1956's for a B reverse. They're a bit worn but '56 was the key for the B Reverses.
Rest in Peace

I sent my coins back to the mint with shipping label from mint. Is that safe? I think there is no insurance coverage from mint.

My mom worked as a bank teller in the 90's and she had a few regular bank members who would ask for silver coins and they would exchange them for bills. Didn't know if this was common at banks, but that was a pretty smart way of having people work for you for free looking for silver.

Ya a lot of older plp come in asking for rolls of Kennedy halves in the hopes of finding 90% or 40% silver coins. I always explain to them that ya we have Kennedys but I all ready look through them for silver. On time an old timer got upset with me because I do that he said it wasn't fair & I should stop that, I told him part of my job it's to make sure the rolls are accurate with the dollar amount and if I happen to come across a coin I like or roll it's perfectly fine for me to buy said rolls or coins

At least you told him 831Manl, that way he doesn't have to waste his time going through what has already been gone through.

I think you did him a favor honestly.
