Hi all. I was going through several bank rolls and noticed this odd looking penny. Sorry for so many pics, but had a heck of a time getting any really good ones (esp. of the VDB which is stamped on 2 layers-half high and half low). Any thoughts or info would be helpful. Oh. the 1st pic is the error penny next to a regular 1990.
If you are referring to the bottom of the 0 in the date, that's probably a very small area of filled die, probably from grease. It would have little value, if that is the case.
The somewhat blurry photos prevent a definitive diagnosis. A filled die is one possibility. However, the rather abrupt interruption in the zero suggests we might be looking at a chipped working hub. That's a rare die variety.
