I split your reply into its own post for the proper attention. The Eisenhower dollar is a keeper (I admit my bias, I think they are all keepers). I have that Lincoln medallion. I got it at Gettysburg when I was a kid.

I knew immediately Jbuck replied to this thread since there's an Eisenhower pictured.

All coins are worth keeping. You've got nothing to loose and everything to gain by keeping them all.

Nope nothing there worth keeping. In fact you probably should get rid of it all as fast as possible. I'll send you my address for proper disposal. PS

Honestly, as long as you like it, it's worth keeping. Especially if it's a circulation find. Those are definitely worth keeping. And by the way, MoeTate, those proofs are lovely Absolutely gorgeous.

All Eisenhower dollars are hard enough to find in circulation that they average a few cents over face value, even when (lightly) circulated. The half dollars are all very nice specimens, but worth face value. Not sure about the medals and the Confederate restrike... those all seem to be the type of stuff one would get through Reader's Digest. Usually not a whole lot of value in those.

What do you have in your collection? If you don't have other examples, keep them all and upgrade! It will help you learn parity to compare and contrast and grade! : )
Good luck!

If you like em keep em. In my opinion the Eisenhower is a keeper until you get a better example. All of the Kennedy's are good enough to put in a Whitman folder until you get better examples. Of course not being able to tell condition you may have some real keepers. The medal is worth keeping as well as the rest. You can always upgrade if your serious about collecting.
